The aftermarket tuning market is partial to the Mercedes-Benz G63 6x6, and so is Polish tuning company Carlex Design, with EXY being the name of their line of tuned X-Class models. So far, the Polish tuning company has launched a number of EXY models such as Yachting, GTX, Urban, Carbon X, Extreme and Off-Road.
And the 6x6 will be the seventh model in the lineup and the most ambitious from an engineering standpoint. Expanding the cargo box and wheelbase was already a considerable undertaking, but adding a third axle and an extra pair of wheels was even more difficult. In addition, the project required a new differential and driveshaft, as well as a new splitter. Widened wheel arches, matte paint, privacy glass, off-road tires, a lift kit, modified bumpers, and the coolest sport bars you can imagine round out its exterior modifications.
Carlex Design hasn't provided renderings of the cabin, and the tuning company hasn't revealed details about the powertrain. Based on past tuning experience, there should be extensive use of Alcantara and carbon fiber in the overall modification. As for the engine, the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel engine with 258 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque will likely be retained, along with a seven-speed automatic transmission from Nissan.
